Arrow Chemical Products opened in Southwest Detroit in 1933.
It has been family owned since its inception, originally by the Felic family, and was bought by the current owners, the Wlodarksi family, in 1980. We offer a full catalog of janitorial products, that are all manufactured, packaged, and distributed right here in Detroit.

What makes Arrow Chemical special?
Arrow Chemical is, and always has been, a family owned company. We are also a WBENC Certified Women-Owned Business. We sell through a wide network of distributors and large redistribution houses, with the lion’s share of those also being Detroit-area businesses. We are truly enmeshed in the culture and history of this part of Michigan, and its long and proud manufacturing past and future.
Why Corktown?
Arrow Chemical began in Corktown a long time ago, when the neighborhood was a much different place that it is now. In the time that Arrow has been here, the company has watched and grown with the area, as well as going through the lean times that have beset the district and the city at large. With that kind of shared history, Arrow could never be what it is today without Corktown.
How has the CBA impacted your business?
Due to the nature of Arrow’s industry, and our business model of selling only to distributors, we do not interact within the CBA the same way that many of the other businesses do. However, the impact of the CBA is indelible in everything we do, in that it is such a positive influence in the entire neighborhood. We take very seriously our privilege of being a part of the CBA, and the advantage of having such an association within our home here in Southwest Detroit.
What are some goals or upcoming announcements for Arrow Chemical?
The future for Arrow Chemical holds a lot of exciting projects that we are very passionate about. The pivot in to the future, within the cleaning industry, has begun in earnest. With this future comes an obligation that Arrow Chemical holds near, to manufacture quality products with close attention to their sustainability within our environment and with our customers. We are working on multiple products and series to lead the way with botanical and natural alternatives to enhance our current products, and build new ones. We also plan on erecting another building (for warehousing and equipment storage space) on an adjacent lot that we own on Sainte Anne, in order to keep growing here, in our community.
